About

Aperture is a photographic practice working across sport, portraiture and open landscape, printed and edited as one continuous body of work.

Approach

The work is made close in and mostly on long lenses, which means waiting rather than arranging. A match, a hard wind, a single band of projected light: the frame is whatever survives the moment, and very little is added afterwards.

Every project here is kept as a sequence rather than a single picture. What reaches the wall is the frame that holds on its own, with the rest of the take living underneath it in the detail view — contact sheets, the frames either side, the ones that nearly worked.

Prints are made to order on baryta and dibond, sized per edition. Commissions, licensing and full sequences are all handled directly from the studio.
